The Price ISN'T Right

When you believe that you wrongly got fired from whatever job you had at the time, then you may file a complaint, or may actually sue your former employer, as was the case I'm talking about right here. Deborah Curling, an employee with the CBS game show "The Price Is Right" (I also have the official "TPIR" site for you, click right here for it) has sued CBS and former "TPIR" host Bob Barker over wrongful termination. Curling was originally fired after she testified in a co-workers wrongful termination case. Well, last Friday (9/18/09), the judge threw out this case, accoring to CBS News. Curling's attorney, Nick Alden, is vowing to appeal the ruling, and well he should. Nobody should be fired for testifying on behalf of a fellow employee. I wonder if the current "TPIR" host, Drew Carey, is following this so that he'll know what to do in a situation like this.

A Very Soapy Post

I'm sure that many of you may have, at one time or another, seen a carnival, circus, or amusement park depicted on television in some form. Well, let me fill you in on what is supposed to be on TV this week (9/14-18/09). On the ABC daytime soap opera "General Hospital" this week, a carnival comes to Port Charles, and Jax and Carly are in the fortune teller's booth. Meanwhile, Sonny doesn't like Dominic's babysitting of Morgan, and after that, Edward's car plows through the fair, taking out rides and booths. Dominic, as well as Carly, Jax, and Sonny, are also taken out, and if I'm not mistaken, one of them dies. One more thing... a cable channel called SOAPnet carries a rerun of each day's episode of "GH" (many soap opera magazines refer to "General Hospital" as "GH") during prime time. I wonder what's going to happen next.
